OBJECTIVE

To provide information about Nursing Lab, X-ray courses to the girls from the  affected and deprived communities. To impart employable skills in the medical field among the Tsunami affected and deprived girls who would otherwise remain unemployed to open up an alternative employment opportunity to the girls from the Tsunami affected and deprived communities.

To establish a steady source of income and future career to the girls whose families are in livelihood crisis.

To help the families of the beneficiary girts to recover from their livelihood crisis. Specific purpose for which funding is required.

The grant is requested for running a vocational training centre to offer employment oriented paramedical training to the girls from the Tsunami affected and other deprived communities. The training will be "free of fees" as the beneficiaries are tsunami affected and deprived.

The proposed center will provide training in employment assured paramedical skills to the girls belonging to the Tsunami affected and deprived communities.

ABOUT NGO:

Mother Theresa Institute of Medical Sciences (Trust) was established during the year 2003 and registered under the trust Act of Government of India on 19.03.2003. Registration number is 140/2003. The managing Trustee of the Trust Mr. Lessly Deva Sigamony was inspired by the source availability of medical facilities in rural areas and visited to start a trust with 5 Trustees in the boards of Trustees. The trust designed its activities on providing free education on paramedical education to the poorest of the poor students in the rural and coastal areas of the district. The trust also conducts medical camps with the assistance of other doctors in villages. The Bharat Sevak Samraj (Promoted by National Development Agency) BSS has approved the courses of our Institute and the examinations are conducted under the guidance of the BSS board.
